Why do you want to be an employee?
Hey Yasir,
I am an avid reader of your blogs and think you are doing a great job.
I am from Dubai as well, looking at landing an internship with merrill in Calgary, AB. I am a student executive at a non profit organization as VP operations and finance. I want to use this experience to get in the industry. i have enrolled for my CSC, will be done in july '07.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Regards,
JPK
Its Yaser...
and please email me.
Hey Yasir,
This is Syed, I am also in Toronto and I have a keen interest in stock market. However, I am just a beginner and need much to learn and you seem to be someone with a lot of passion and obsession for the stock market. I see myself the same way.
Do get in touch with me at trance0nxtc@hot.. com.
why don't you want to work for one of your previous employers??You look down on ML and JPM?Didn't they offer you a job after your internships???.....i think you're WAY TOO CONCEITED....

Just because I list all my accomplishments doesn't mean I'm conceited. I put A LOT of effort in my blog, so it's only right I display the little that I've achieved. Sorry you feel that way, but I'm not worried about assumptions people make.

I'm still about a yr away from my graduation and I do have offers from my previous employers (it's not something I like discussing in a public forum).
Tx for your time.
Yasir:
People will hate all day everyday...just keep focused, keep grinding...the sky is the limit...if ML and JPM make you offers, why settle?...see if you can get MS, GS, SAC and other top HFs...i love your passion, and you are doing a great job...always remember the price of ambition is the hate, but you gotta keep your head up.
Peace
